Fans favourite Lee is back at Glasgow for the 5th season after a short spell away at the beginning of 2009. Lee had reluctantly decided that he wanted to look for a non Sunday track to spend more time with his young son grass tracking but it didn't work out for him. After a short but rather bitter looking spell at Newport he had a few weeks out of speedway before Glasgow asked him to come back when having to re-arrange their side. Lee jumped at the chance and was back where he belongs.
His time at Glasgow has always been characterised by 100% effort, a never say die attitude and is a good team man who has always been instrumental in promoting good team spirit as well as good relations with the fans. His value in the pits at gee-ing up his team mates is evident for all to see and many feel he may be one of the riders in with a shout of the captaincy.
He has a wealth of lower league experience behind him dating back to 1994 when he first took to the track with Buxton against Mildenhall and was brought up in a speedway orientated family - his father was co-promoter at Hull for a time.
Much of his early career was with Hull but he has now established himself as a firm Glasgow favourite. He may never reach the dizzy heights of number one rider but will always give 100% effort.
