Every season there is someone who is a victim of the averages and this year it was Anders at Glasgow as the way team building developed after Shane Parker decided to move on meant there was no place in the Glasgow line up for the popular Dane.
He is coming back to racing after missing most of last season due to a serious leg injury but prior to the leg break had been averaging well in excess of his 3.74 starting average.
When Berwick discovered last weekend that Simmons would not be fit to start their season they initially tried to approach a young British rider but were refused permission to talk to him. Their attention quickly turned to Anders and a deal was done pretty quickly.
It is good to see Anders fixed up although many will still miss him in Glasgow colours this season.
