Scottish Motor Show

David McAllan and Shane Parker were in attendance at the Scottish Motor Show in Lanark today to help STARs promote Glasgow Speedway.

David happily chatted away to people at the stall as well as bringing along one of his bikes and a set of his kevlars to have on display - this straight after doing a 3am shift at his work.

Shane was also on hand at the stall for most of the time signing autographs, answering questions and having pictures taken with the kids but also took part in two demonstrations of speedway out on a less than ideal surface that was also used by the rally cars. Unfortunately it saw him come to grief in his second outing as he flipped the bike.

They were joined on the stall by young Dale Lamb in his kevlars and with one of his bikes.

All three riders plus the STARs representatives there did an excellent job and the stall was busy for most of the day. It certainly seemed to catch the imagination of potential new supporters.

There is still a chance to visit the Scottish Motor Show and the STARs stall tomorrow (Sunday 25th) although unfortunately after damaging his bike today it is unlikely that Shane will be out on his bike
