STARs Quiz Night

Despite the bad weather, there was a decent turnout for the STARS second fund raising event, a quiz night, at Ashfield last night (Friday).

It was another successful night out with everyone appearing to enjoy the various events, including Irish Bingo, a speedway quiz and a picture board 'Identify the Rider' as well as the main event of the evening the General Knowledge quiz.

In addition there was also comments and a question and answer session with Alan Dick on behalf of the promotion - this will be covered in a separate article to be posted shortly.

The 'Identify the Rider' quiz was won by team Scottish Speedway who impressively named all riders on display. They did have a bit of an advantage though as Kenny McKinna was on their side and featured in the photos as did his brother! As expected, Michael Max won the Speedway Challenge quiz but the track staff showed that they are not merely the backbone of all the hard work done to the track on a race day by winning the main General Knowledge quiz.

Once again STARS put a lot of effort into making it an enjoyable night for those who attended and lets hope their efforts were rewarded with the amount raised.
