Ross at Workington
(Posted 11/05/08)
It was not a fruitful guest appearance for Ross Brady last night at Workington as he finished the night pointless from three rides.
In his first outing, Ross led from the gate in the early stages but was passed by Haines on the second lap. He appeared to develop engine problems towards the end of lap three which allowed Branney to pass. However his team mate for the evening appeared to misjudge things and ran into Ross, sending him to the ground. The referee however saw it differently, excluding Ross and awarding Brown the point for third place.
Ross was out again in heat 4 but finished at the rear and was well off the pace.
Heat 8 was to be Ross's final outing - if you could call it that! His bike packed up at the tapes and he never got a chance to turn a wheel in anger.
Many thanks to Sue for the comments.
