Workington Away Rescheduled

It was confirmed yesterday at Ashfield that Glasgow will now NOT be facing Workington this Saturday as originally scheduled.

Workington's meeting last Saturday against Edinburgh was postponed due to bad weather and the date they had reserved for any rain offs was 19th April.

Although the fixture lists do not show Edinburgh as having a fixture that weekend other than a home tie on the Friday night against Stoke, the Monarchs advised the Comets that this date was not suitable to them.

Glasgow therefore stepped into the breach and agreed to go to Workington on the 19th April instead, freeing up this Saturday for Workington to entertain Edinburgh.

From a fans point of view, there will be some had already made their travel arrangements made for this Saturday. However from a team point of view it means we will not be racing three meetings in three days this weekend, something that could perhaps work in our favour with Ross only just coming back from injury and Shane not yet up to his own high standards following his winter illness.
