New skids on the block Josh Grajczonek and Mitchell Davey have vowed to dump their Aussie surfing gear in cold storage after sampling a Glasgow winter.
The Tigers new boys went out for a jog 24 hours after touching down at Glasgow Airport and got caught up in the year's biggest snowstorm.
But the teen bikers, who were wearing t-shorts and shorts, remain committed to the city speedway side, despite leaving 40 degree sunshine behind in Oz.
Davey, 18, laughed: "We're living near Braehead and decided we should go running to keep fit. It was Monday morning and we hadn't long arrived in the country.
"We got on our Aussie training gear and took to the streets, but we were about three kilometers away when all this white stuff started to fall - neither of us had seen snow before.
"We got back to the apartment in record time and sat for ages staring at it from our window.
"It was amazing but not so good to run in!"
Grajczonek and Davey aren't fair weather speedway stars though, and are desperate to roar off to the perfect start when Tigers host Edinburgh on Sunday.
And Tigers fans will be delighted to hear that they have quickly grasped the importance of that showdown.
Grajczonek, 17, said "We're looking forward to racing against Edinburgh.
"We've been told all about the Derby matches and the rivalry, and what they mean to both sets of fans. We say 'Bring it on!'
"We can't wait to get on our bikes.".
