Press But No Practice

Press and Practice day for 2008 saw a well attended photo shoot in George Square at 1pm yesterday with a decent number of press photographers in attendance.

Tigers have immediately reaped the benefit of it with a third of a page in today's Scottish Sun including two pictures (Jeff Holmes text can be read here). It also attracted a few passers by into asking about speedway, Shane's mechanic not only being left with packing his bike back into the van at the end of the shoot but also explaining to an inquisitive passer by all about speedway.

Unfortunately the afternoon practice session had to be cancelled due to the amount of rain and snow that has hit the track in the last week. With the season so close it was felt that the track was just too heavy to risk it.
