Ross Needs Surgery
(Posted 28/06/08)
There was more bad, although not altogether unexpected, news for the Tigers this week when it was confirmed by a specialist that Ross Brady needs surgery on his injured knee.
Ross had been flying for the Tigers and indeed tried to ride through the pain barrier when he suffered a recurrence of his knee injury last month. Initially it was hoped that a 28 day break - which would have seen him return this Sunday - would be enough to allow the knee to heal.
Unfortunately, it was not to be and when Ross tested his knee last week on his moto-x bike it was quickly evident the problem had not gone away.
On Thursday, Ross visited a specialised who has diagnosed damage to his ligament and cartilage which will require surgery.
It's a major blow for the young Scot who was desperate to get back to racing, especially after forking out for two new engines just prior to his enforced layoff.
It's understood that Ross will go in for surgery on 8th July and we wish him all the best for his operation and a speedy recovery .
