Robert Scores 10 at Birmingham

Robert came through his guest appearance for Birmingham in an incident packed meeting at Perry Barr unscathed, scoring 10 points in the process.

His score was enhanced by a tactical ride win in heat 11, the race itself being run twice, Robert making the gate both times and winning the heat relatively comfortably.

It was a bit different in his opening ride when he took the rider replacement ride in the opening heat. He gated but was unable to hold his ground, ending up at the rear.He appeared to have learned from that in his next outing in heat 4 when he won from the gate.

His third ride saw him outgated and he had to settle for third place, only beating his team mate before he was surprisingly given the TR ride in heat 11.

His final two rides in heats 13 and 15 were to see Robert finish at the back.

Former Tiger Jason Lyons broke the track record in heat 3 but then broke his collarbone in a heat 5 crash and we wish him a speedway recovery.
