Injuries Update

Michael Max gave some updates on the current state of play with regards to Shane Parker and Ross Brady's injuries during yesterday's meeting with Mildenhall at Ashfield.

The news on Shane, who many will have seen during the World Cup coverage on TV with Team Australia still looking very pale and thin, is that he is due to return to the doctor today and is hoping to get an all clear to have a go on the bike again.

Obviously a lot will depend on what the Doctor says but with such a long spell out of action and recovering from a serious illness he could still be a few weeks away from considering a return but you can never tell with speedway riders!

On Ross, who was again in the pits during yesterday's meeting supporting his team mates, the news is mixed. He received the good news last week that he does not need any further surgery on his knee but it is now going to take time for the knee to heal. It looks as if the target time for a return for Ross is along the lines of late August/early September.
