Juul Signs

As was widely expected following the Glasgow Tigers press release on Friday, Glasgow today confirmed the signature of 17 year old Danish prospect Peter Juul.

Peter has been over for a few days, some saw him take a spin at Armadale on Friday night and he will also be taking part in the Belle Vue Junior Championship on Wednesday night.

He has been attracting a lot of attention this year, riding in three countries to build up experience. In Denmark he is part of the same Grinsted squad as Anders Andersen (Fjelsted v Grinsted , Grinsted v Brovst, for more see here) and is part of a large Tarnow squad in Poland. In Sweden, he has been riding alongside former Tiger and today's visitors Stefan Ekberg and Tai Woffinden in the Vargarna side in the Allsvenskan league.

He had a brief spin round to introduce him to the crowd before the meeting and another couple of outings in the second half to get a feel for the Ashfield circuit. Unfortunately, prior commitments elsewhere make it impossible to draft him into the side this season although it is hoped that he may make an appearance or two at Ashfield, perhaps even in the Scottish Cup, towards the end of the year.
