Robert Claims Third

In a very close finish, Robert Ksiezak claimed third place in the South Australian Solo Championship at Gillman earlier today.

Robert had to qualify for the final the hard way after finishing on 8 points, the fifth highest scorer from the main event. However in the semi-final he impressively claimed the scalp of Corey Gathercole as well as the Monarchs pairing of Matt Wethers and Aaron Summers to qualify for the final.

Although Troy Batchelor won the final from the tapes, Robert was never far off the pace and part of a thrilling three man battle just behind the leader for the minor placings. Cameron Woodward just pulled away on the final bends to secure second place whilst Robert got the better of Hedley on a run in to the tapes to claim third place by the smallest of margins.
