Shane Raring to Go

Anyone looking for an early indication of whether or not this season is going to be Shane's last will have to wait for an answer. Shane indicates in this weeks Speedway star that he cannot wait to get started racing again and will not make any decision on his future until nearer the end of the season.

Shane is quoted in this week's speedway star as saying that he doesn't plan too far ahead and he is unlikely to decide upon the future until nearer the end of the season.

However on the plus side he has a new zest for riding after helping Joe Screen in the early rounds of the Australian Championship and cannot wait for the start of the season.

Shane's injuries from last season have all cleared up but not so good news is that it has taken a long time to get over his pneumonia and is only now coming to the end of his treatment. He says he feels that he is a couple of months behind in his preparations as a result.

Shane has always said he will continue riding as long as he is still enjoying it - lets hope the M6 remains roadwork and delay free during the season!
