STARs Announce 'Blind' Auction

STARs are delighted to announce the launch of our first ever BLIND auction - which can now officially be declared as OPEN.

Please note that, as in the case of the successful auction section of STARs December event at Firhill, once again STARs will donate 50% of proceeds to the David McAllan Benefit Fund.

So, what will you be bidding for?

With the assistance of Glasgow track photographer Ian Adam, STARs are offering THREE separate chances to win an exclusive Buildbase Glasgow Tigers 2008 team picture featuring YOU (optionally with family/friends) photographed alongside the 2008 team!!

These pictures will require to be staged before the teams opening fixture at Ashfield on Sunday, March 9th against Edinburgh .. or else at the first fixture thereafter if postponed.

The photographs (sized at 15x11 inches) will be professionally framed with the photo mount signed by each of the Glasgow riders and presented to you within two weeks!

A unique piece of Glasgow Speedway history can be yours, a memento to treasure and display for years to come ... you pictured with the entire 2008 team ... a time piece marking the British debut season of Josh and Mitchell, the return of Ross Brady, the season Tigers had 5 Aussie's ... a much sought after prize for all Glasgow fans!

Bids are invited by email (to: derek@glastigers.co.uk) or text (to: 07919166611) or via Easy Tiger IM (to Derek Smith) and must be received by noon on Saturday, March 8th to be valid.

The following rules apply:

• top three bids, as at noon on Saturday, March 8th will be adjudged as the prize winning bids
• each of those winning bidders must be contactable by the organisers in order to reaffirm the amount pledged and be confirmed as successful BEFORE Sunday 9th March
• all email and/or IM bids must include a contact name and telephone number
• no bid will be acknowledged
• the size of the photograph party belonging to winning bidders must not exceed 4 individuals
• the party belonging to winning bidders MUST be available PRIOR to 2:30pm on March 9th for photograph purposes
• no minimum/maximum number of individual bids which can be submitted
• all bids must be made in pounds sterling and winning bids must be settled prior to presentation of framed photograph

So there you have it ... by supporting this blind auction you will stand the chance of being proudly photographed for posterity alongside the Buildbase Glasgow Tigers 2008 team as well as bolstering the respective funds of STARs and David McAllan.
