Robert Scores 4+1

Robert carried on his consistent scoring for Belle Vue this evening, finishing with 4+1 although this time from only four races.

In heat 2, he was second in what was a well spread out heat from the gate and he followed this up with a paid second behind Joe Screen in heat 4.

Heat 8 was not quite so good for Robert as he made a carbon copy of Sunday's error when he went too wide and was lucky not to hit the fence. Belle Vue, at the time, had been on a 5-1 but the error meant Olly Allen was able to slip through into second. To his credit, Robert gave chase and very nearly caught Allen off the final bend but the damage was done.

A poor start in heat 12 was to prove costly, Robert finishing at the rear.

He had still looked comfortable and the home fans were a little surprised that he did not get heat 14 as he had in his previous appearances.

Overall it was another gutsy performance from Robert that pleased the Belle Vue faithful..
