Beaton's Cubs Lose

Gary Beaton scored a respectable 8 points for Redcar Cubs against Boston last night, including a 4 point TR ride, but his first meeting as captain ended in defeat with the home side winning 55-38.

Fellow Glasgow asset James Cockle fared better, scoring 9+1 from 4 for the home side.

Both featured in what our source felt was the best heat of the night, heat 7. Gary tracked Boston's Adam Lowe for 3 laps before picking his moment to pass outside him and take the lead. Cockle followed him through and tried to put pressure on Gary but Gary held for the win.
